On November 11, the central government issued 300 million yuan of water conservancy disaster relief funds to support Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan and Chongqing provinces (cities) to do a good job in drought relief and water supply.
Since the middle and late July of this year, the rainfall in some areas of South China, especially in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, has been less than 50% compared with the same period of the whole year. The water level of rivers and lakes has been continuously low. The drought in some provinces is serious, and some areas are experiencing temporary drinking difficulties due to drought. The Ministry of water resources requires the drought resistant water supply scheme to be formulated in accordance with the most unfavorable conditions in the dry areas, and through the timely construction of temporary water diversion and lifting works, the extension of water supply pipe network, the pulling of water supply and other drought resistant measures to ensure the safety of people's water use.
