Ministry of Water Resources fully deploys green transformation of small hydropower

        Recently, the Ministry of Water Resources held a field meeting on the green transformation of Rural Hydropower in Yongchun County, Fujian Province, to analyze the situation faced by the green development of rural hydropower, and to deploy the green transformation of small hydropower in the new period. Vice Minister Tian Xuebin attended the meeting and delivered a speech, fully affirming the achievements of green development of rural hydropower.

       Tian Xuebin pointed out that in order to promote the green development of Rural Hydropower in the new era, it is necessary to integrate ideas and actions into Xi Jinping's ecological civilization thought, focus on solving the adverse impact of small hydropower on the ecological environment, strive to provide more high-quality aquatic ecological products, and constantly meet the growing needs of the people for a better life and a better ecological environment.         Tian Xuebin emphasized that the focus of rural hydropower work should be shifted to the general tone of "water control board for water conservancy projects and strong supervision of water industry", resolutely win the battle for ecological restoration of rural hydropower, adhere to problem orientation, complete the shortboard of ecological discharge facilities, fill the shortboard of ecological restoration for dewatering reach, fill the shortboard of small hydropower energy efficiency and safety, and complete the short board of informatization. The responsible comrades of the relevant units of the Ministry of Ecological Environment and the Development and Reform Commission, the Taihu River Basin Authority, the International Small Hydropower Center, the Rural Electrification Research Institute of the Ministry of Water Resources, and the Water Resources (Water) Department (Bureau) of the provinces (cities) of the Yangtze River Economic Zone, attended the meeting.
